Privacy Policy

Short version: there is no TideSort account, no ads, and no analytics SDK hiding behind the lineup. Your playlists live on the device and in your iCloud. We do not want your channel list. We barely want our own.

What TideSort is

TideSort is a lineup manager and player for live playlists you already have, such as Xtream or M3U. It does not include TV channels, movies, series, or a provider. There is no add-on shop. It is not affiliated with any IPTV service.

What we store on your device

That is the whole filing cabinet. No “anonymous usage”, no crash reporter with a hobby.

What we sync with iCloud

Playlists and lineup choices sync through the iCloud account signed in on the device, using Apple’s key-value store. Catalog caches stay on the device. Family Sharing shares the TideSort unlock, not your playlists — your sibling does not inherit the Cabin lineup.

What we send

No advertising SDKs, no analytics trackers, no TideSort account, no TideSort server. If a pixel is following you, it is not ours.

HTTP streams

Some playlist servers still use HTTP. TideSort allows that only so your own server can load. Prefer HTTPS when your provider offers it. We cannot encrypt a host that insists on 1998.

Your choices

Remove playlists in Settings to delete stored credentials. Sign out of iCloud to stop household sync. Manage the unlock through your Apple ID. Uninstalling the app is also a valid privacy strategy, if a dramatic one.

Children

Playlists you add can include mature content. TideSort is intended for adults. Do not use it as a babysitter.
